  Probably my favorite in Jacksonville. The BBQ isn't the best I've ever had, but it's good compared to Jacksonville's slim selection. I love that they will serve the BBQ dry and not smothered in sauce as many places do.
  
  The restaurant has a rustic "town-square" feel to it. Which is good because it is literally on the town's square. They used to play live music or sports on a projection screen, but the last time I visited they were playing loud pop music (think tweeny clothing store) and had sports only on small TV's located by the bar. Other than that the restaurant was, as usual, a great place to eat.  Highly recommend.

  Heard good things but the waitress took forever to fill our drinks. Food took 40 minutes to get out to us. The food was gross and nobody ate it. Would not recommend going here

  I am very disappointed in the decline of the food quality as well as the manager.  I was there recently and ordered the nachos with smoked beef...supposedly.  We waited for what we thought was an appetizer to share, as every other order that came out the window was heaping with chips and toppings, we were soon disappointed.  Our waitress brought us a platter with a single layer of chips and processed beef slices(looked like Arby's roast beef....disgusting imo).  So I expressed my disappointment in the portion size due to similar orders prior too and following my own being much larger.  My waitress was a doll and addressed it with the kitchen ultimately getting us another order.  I expressed the disappointment to the manager also btw.  As the waitress was getting the order...the manager says " you have to charge them for an additional order."  WTH??  And her explanation of the portion variance was "every other order requested extra chips."  
  What once was a bbq in Jacksonville with actual smoked meats is now a farce with bad management and processed meats from the freezer....or Arby's, who knows.  But we won't be going back until I hear about some major changes.

  I had brisket with sweet potato fries and corn nuggets. It was all delicious. The Brisket was cooked perfectly and the fries were crisp and seasoned well. The Corn nuggets were so so good. My sister had an open face sandwich with some of the best homemade mashed potatoes I've tasted.
  It's nice to have great service and great food in Jacksonville again.
